  • Elastic scattering - better subtraction with line shape
  • Multiple scattering
    • what is C_ms, can we calculate it from sample shape, and cross sections (maybe using the experimental data as 1st approximation for the estimation)
  • Absorption correction
    • if only single-scattering is concerned than this depends solely on angle (or Q). Then it is pretty easy to do a quick correction
    • if multiple scattering is severe. how to do this?
    • if radial collimator is used, it can affect this correction as well
  • constant background subtraction may not be enough
    • energy dependent background subtraction (higher at E=0, and a long tail to large E)
    • what "standard" we can use to find out this background? maybe using a coherent scatterer?
  • Resolution should be considered in merging data from different Ei
  • Beyond incoherent approx
    • Use oClimax?
    • Output single phonon SQE for comparison
  • What can be incorporated into Mantid mslice?
  • Error propagation
    • How is it done?
    • How to plot it?

These are long-term goals. Should have another discussion on how to prioritize them.
