Hello all!
We had a workshop in Houston on Saturday, it was our first and I was a bit nervous but it was so fun! We did an Intro to HTML/CSS/JS crash course, about 20 women showed up and they were all very interested and asked a ton of questions.
I didn't promote the first one too much because I didn't know what to expect, but it went so well and everyone was so sweet and appreciative so that was super encouraging. I'd love to plan more, if you guys have any suggestions about how to better promote workshops, feel free to let me know!
I started a Houston charter for 100 Girls of Code which is very similar except they're focused on the 12-18 age group, I want to open the workshops to women of all ages (and men if they want to come) so it would be great to promote events through both groups for more exposure. :)
