Preview Markdown text inside an .html file

I'm working on .html files (handlebars templates, actually) containing a lot of markdown text. With WebStorm and idea-markdown is there a way to preview non .md files with markdown formatting?

(Asking this because I was used to simply ask for "markdown preview" and see my .html file show in browser with proper markdown formatting when using Sublime Text).

Notice: This plugin is no more maintained and it has been removed from Jetbrains plugins repository. There is a Markdown plugin officially supported by Jetbrains.
