Really high CPU usage on players loading shared map #35

Hello teams,
First thanks for this incredible mod !
I have an issue with the shared part on the map mod.
We now have a pretty big map and each time someone join and even change world, the cpu usage of the server spike like crazy making the whole world lag for a few minutes even more.
Do you have other people having the same issue ?
I run the server on truenas, 6 cpu cores, 8G Ram, SSD storage.
Would it be possible to store the map on the client ? Allowing only the new part of the map to be downloaded each time ?
