Update to 24.11

24.11 just got released.

I was able to load packages from nixpkgs release-24.11 via

nix-channel --add https://nixos.org/channels/nixos-24.11 nixpkgs
nix-channel --add https://github.com/nix-community/nix-on-droid/archive/release-24.05.tar.gz nix-on-droid
nix-channel --update

however not all the 24.11packages I've tried actually run properly on nix-on-droid

@ob7 are you saying that some packages that worked in 24.05 are not working in 24.11?

I'm hoping to use 24.11 in my flake

@boozedog - I only tested one package, the one I was working on... which was "tenere". It's now backported to release.24.05 and runs fine in nix-on-droid. However before it was backported to 24.05, and was only available in 24.11, it would not run on nix-on-droid when I set nixpkgs to release-24.11, something to do with permissions. But it runs fine in 24.05 after backport, code being the same. Unfortunately I don't know enough about nix-on-droid to know why. I'd like to learn more as I have some ideas that would use it.

I didn't try testing things already in release-24.05 when switching to release-24.11 at the time. Its easy to switch, just try it out and see if it works for you.

BTW I set up nix-on-droid using channels not flakes, probably makes a difference how you installed it.
