Consistent Nerd Font icons and colors across various programs

Many apps rely on Nerd Fonts to display various icons—for example nvim, yazi, lsd, and axa etc..
It would be great to have a consistent set of icons and colors across all of them.
As far as I can tell, the main options are mini.icons and webdevicons. Would it be possible to support these?

Following the brief discussion from #1916 (comment), we could consider improving the default stylix.fonts.

As far as I can tell, the main options are mini.icons and webdevicons. Would it be possible to support these?

IIUC, these are Neovim plugins. How would they generally solve the font issue when opening the problematic applications outside Neovim?

I was thinking of defining two large objects for mini.icons and webdevicons, each holding entries like { icon = ""; color = ""; } that map to the relevant program icons—for Yazi, that would correspond to https://github.com/sxyazi/yazi/blob/329c80cbee5bb9e527ffa475bc0df2477f71ed93/yazi-config/preset/theme-light.toml#L259-L956 for example.

Perhaps something like stylix.base16Scheme.icons = "mini.icons" or stylix.fonts.icons = "mini.icons", or something in stylix.icons for user-level configuration? Not entirely sure i’m still pretty new to stylix.

Allowing users to override specific colors/icons would be nice as well i guess.

Neither base16, base24, base32, nor base64 schemes would have anywhere near enough colors to give this many elements individual colors. I doubt this is generally solvable.

Most of the colors are the same. They dont have to be unique. mini.icons just uses the following 9 colors:

• azure
• blue
• cyan
• green
• grey
• orange
• purple
• red
• yellow
