Many existing scripts could probalby be made to work with IPv6 multicast if we identify the correct multicast address and any other changes that may need to be made. A few ideas (not exhaustive):

  • broadcast-ms-sql-discover
  • broadcast-pim-discovery
  • broadcast-hid-discoveryd
  • broadcast-netbios-master-browser
  • broadcast-wake-on-lan
