I am asking as there are a lot of (old) pull requests that pass the checks but aren't merged.

This is not meant judgmental as there are dozen of plausible reasons as you could have no/less time, other interests, illness etc.

Maybe these suggestions could help keep this good project alive:

• Add further maintainers.
• Define in the start page (README) what is required for contributing.
  -> Merge requests are only considered if they pass all checks (include tests, are documented and correctly formatted and so on).
  -> Issues like 'Implement API X' are ignored as there are dozen of endpoints and if something additional is wanted a pull request should be created.
• Maybe consider the GitHub feature to auto merge if all the checks pass.
• Use further probot functionality like for instance https://probot.github.io/apps/no-response/ and https://probot.github.io/apps/tests-checker/.

I no longer use GitLab actively so my interest in the project is reduced.
