Will this thing work on MS-DOS?

I'm wondering if this reconstruction of the old Touhou games will work on IBM-compatible/standard MS-DOS.

The goal is to create the source that will compile into exactly the same executables as original. This means it's not going to be IBM compatible, just like the original. On the other hand it will be much easier to mod the game to support IBM PC, so it will probably happen sooner or later.
