when writing &lat= (e.g. in a visible URL), tidy-markdown will convert it to ⪫=, which is not what I want. So I tried writing it as &lat=. But then, tidy-markdown will first convert it to &lat= and on the next save to ⪫=.
This behaviour seems like a bug to me.
