With @JessicaS11 Alex L, @asteiker : We worked on a mock-up of the new earthaccess homepage, that can be used in the ESDIS proposal, and also improve the landing page to be more user-focused and give contributing credit. Lightly modeled after https://www.pangeo.io/

TO DO:

• Continue updating text
• Shorten refs/top text enough that you see the logos sooner
• Replace with better ESDIS logo
• Add logos/pictures for other communities/people who have supported development
• Move the rest of the logos into the logos directory (will require fixing links to logos from other docs pages)
• Higher res/separate logos for DAACs

Niiice! I feel logos should all be the same size. I imagine they're currently different sizes because of the nature of the logo files themselves, not intentionally. Is that right? What do you think of the size of the logos?

I don't have strong feelings about the order of the logos. If NASA wants to be first, they can be first and I won't complain, but I don't think they should be bigger than other supporters of the community.

We could use allcontributors or similar service like icepyx does. I think we should highlight the individuals alongside the logos!
