Folder of symbolic icons in light variant. #1429
Comments
Hm, why do those even show up there? It's not supposed to be a mix of symbolic folder icons and non-symbolic mimetpe icons. |
The solution is to remove the scalable icons and edit the index.theme file |
Thanks for your testing. Before me delving into this some more, this only happens to you with Numix Light, right? |
Yes! |
That's strange because the scalable Numix Light icons picked up have a Is it Nemo? Is there a way to change icon sizes? If so, does it look like in your screenshot for all sizes? Do you use HiDPI scaling? As far I can see you are using the Numix base theme without any of our complementary app icon themes (Numix Circle or Numix Square). How does it looks when using Circle/Square? |
|
I installed Nemo and I can reproduce it when using any of the light variants (Numix-Light, Numix-Circle-Light, Numix-Square-Light). As a matter of fact it looks the same in Nautilus. |
Now I'm not sure we can just remove the scalable stuff, might be needed for other DEs. Then there's the question if we need the Light variant at all. For GNOME it's definitely not needed anymore, the "new" dark mode switching recolours the icons automatically. |
@Initu-Castilhos Do you actually need the light variants in Cinnamon DE? Or do the light/normal variants look the same? The light variants are made to be used on a dark background. |
No, the clear version of the symbolic folder icons. |
In the light version it shows symbolic icons as shown in the image below.
