Since there are plenty reasons to move on to python3 [1], I wonder why this package has not moved on yet. Is there a particular reason?

I don't think there's any reason other than that nobody has gotten around to it, especially since the it works as is and people only need it to use it twice a year 😄 Feel free to upgrade this to Python 3

I've prepared a pull request at #13 that should resolve this issue.
