Current Implementation: a developer can add a clay-space to the componentList of another component but the components they can add to that embedded clay space is still restricted to components that are in the component list of the parent layout.

Maybe developers should be able to define what can go in a clay-space, instead of having clay-space-edit automatically grabbing the _componentList of the layout?
