This is fun, NOT. There's no place to figure out hte best way to actually do what GitHub purportedly is best at - let me make a "new" copy and work on it.
I try and get all kinds of error messages, because I"m a new stupid person. (Okay, I'm relatively new to GitHub and I'm not stupid. Whatever.) I try to "branch" and no, nothing will commit because those files aren't there. Why not? Do I really have to download the whole thing as a zip file every time I make changes?
Maybe I should "fork" my own project if I need to work on it in different places on different computers. There's no place to ask stupid, ignorant questions like that.
Ready to bail and go back to "exit android studio... copy project with another name.... version control is a nice idea but not accessible to mere mortals."
