Bypassing normal Wordpress login form

Is there a way to bypass the normal Wordpress login form and jump directly to the idp authentication via the generic openid connector plugin using a button widget, and then use another button widget to display to the user for the logout and send them to the landing page, bypassing going back to the Wordpress login form. I tried using the link I get by hovering over the openid connect button you place in the Wordpress login form and I sometimes get an invalid state error. When I try to use the link under the logout link, it fails because it has a nonce value which seems to only work with the current session.
