There are various parameters in the classic games that are dependent on the game's difficulty mode (hang time, flash time, rising speed etc).

@omenking Can you or @Skytrias work out some hooks on the UI side for selecting the difficulty level? I'll implement the parameters once the basic shell is in place, but it's probably better someone more familiar with the menu architecture and UI etc sets up the basic hooks.

@jon12156 how does all this stuff map?
In VS mode where its 1 to 10 does it map to speed and difficulty somehow?
