Code of Conduct — AgriTech

Welcome to AgriTech — an open-source initiative under GSSoC’25, dedicated to fostering innovation in agriculture through inclusive collaboration and community-driven development.

AgriTech is committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment for all contributors—regardless of skill level, background, or domain expertise. Whether you are proposing new ideas, fixing issues, or engaging in discussions, we aim to maintain a safe and collaborative space where everyone can thrive.

Unacceptable Behavior

To ensure a positive experience for all, we do not tolerate:

  • Gatekeeping or exclusionary practices
  • Unsolicited promotions, spam, or off-topic discussions
  • Discrimination based on race, gender, age, religion, or any personal characteristics

Scope of Applicability

This Code of Conduct applies across all official AgriTech spaces, including:

  • GitHub repositories and issue discussions
  • Official community platforms (Discord, LinkedIn)
  • Project-related social media and public communications
  • Virtual events, meetups, and workshops

Reporting Concerns

If you encounter or witness any behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to a project maintainer or mentor. All reports will be handled with confidentiality and seriousness. The goal is to address issues promptly while maintaining a respectful environment.


Enforcement and Actions

Depending on the severity and frequency of violations, actions may include:

  • A verbal or written warning
  • Temporary or permanent removal from the project community
  • Reporting the behavior to GSSoC administrators for further action

Contributor Guidelines

By participating in AgriTech, contributors are expected to:

  • Demonstrate professionalism and respect in all interactions
  • Avoid plagiarism, offensive content, or unethical practices
  • Accept and act on feedback in a constructive manner
  • Acknowledge contributions and credit collaborators
  • Help create a learning-friendly and inclusive atmosphere
