Better storage of dates #47
Description
Currently, the date and time of an event is stored in local time. This needs to be changed to UTC and converted for display. Nothing exceptional is done with the datetimes so storing them as a simple Unix timestamp will suffice. A conversion will need to be done for existing events when the system is upgraded.
