We currently require Go 1.22. This prevents us from updating to package versions which require Go 1.23. According to the update policy, we should drop support for 1.22 after 1.24 is released, which is planned for February 2025. This issue exists to track which package updates we need to put on hold in the meantime.

We should follow our policy, which means waiting for Go 1.24. I don't think this is a major problem. If the package upgrades turn out to be critical, we can always make an exception.
