Several tests can and should take advantage of purest parametrization (https://docs.pytest.org/en/latest/parametrize.html). This will greatly reduce the size of the test code and should lead to fewer copy/paste errors where the same tests are intended to be run on slightly different inputs. E.g., the batch files vs. all-at-once ensemble load strategy testing here: https://github.com/gregmedlock/Medusa/blob/development/medusa/test/test_load_from_file.py
