Difference if telephone is horizontal or vertical

I use openfoodfact on ubuntuphone bq aquaris 5.
On the same product if I use app horizontaly it doesn't work (focus ok but it doesn't recognize the product.
If phone is vertically, everything is ok, zoom and recognition

With the latest version from today (v1.9) scanning works in both orientations on my E5 on dev BUT in landscape mode the image is inverted (upside down). That does make navigation slightly tricky. ;-)

Edit: that seems to be a dev channel problem tagger app is the same.
