Is there an existing CVA6 bug for this?

  • I have searched the existing bug issues

Bug Description

After 2ef1c1b the bitstream using FPGA config fails (no message from bootrom).
If the C extension is enabled, everything seems OK.
@Gchauvon do you have any idea why not using the C extension would fail after this change?

Do you mean that you remove C extension from cv32a6_imac_sv32 and it fails to boot ?

I expected so, but it is not the case.
Yes.
Also, cv32a6_ima_sv32_fpga as it is fails, and enabling C extension is OK

Those two configuration are quite different when comparing XXX_config_pkg.sv. It recommend to go from cv32a6_imac_sv32 to cv32a6_ima_sv32_fgpa changing one parameter at a time, hoping to find a clue on where the issue occures.

I will generate a cv32a6_ima_sv32_fgpa bitstream and examinate the xilinx log looking for warnings or errors related to 2ef1c1b

Sorry I did something wrong before, removing the C extension from cv32a6_imac_sv32 fails to boot too
