I cleaned out a decent chunk of things that aren't used anymore in a79097b, but there's a lot more that could be done.

Let's focus on slimming down the number of things in the repo, then we can build back up with things that are directed and useful.

Don't be shy about deleting things! If we need to get it back, git is our friend :)
