ORIN NX 16GB MAXN_SUPER mode

Hej,

I do have a question, what else than increasing the VDD Voltage above 8V and providing a Pull-up on the MACHINE_ID is required to gain the MAXN_SUPER mode?

What I did:

• Running a build based on the latest meta-tegra scarthgap branch
• Flashing my custom board
• Running nvpmodel -m0
• Running jetson_clocks
• In one terminal run jtop
• In another one run gpu_burn 0

I am not able to exceed the 25W Power limit.

I have checked for the firmware BPFDTB this looks okay to me:

Okay, my hope was that there might be some magic YOCTO knob to turn. I am also fearing the answer in the developer forum would be: Please use our DevKit + official JetPack versions.

@graugans you may want to compare the result with official jetpack as a troubleshooting step as well.

I got a bit further, after checking the forum I found this document

I played around with:

/sys/bus/i2c/drivers/ina3221/1-0040/hwmon/hwmon1/curr1_max
/sys/bus/i2c/drivers/ina3221/1-0040/hwmon/hwmon1/curr1_crit

If I do the following:

echo 4472 > /sys/bus/i2c/drivers/ina3221/1-0040/hwmon/hwmon1/curr1_max
echo 4472 > /sys/bus/i2c/drivers/ina3221/1-0040/hwmon/hwmon1/curr1_crit
nvpmodel -m 0
jetson_clocks
./gpu_burn -tc 0
stress-ng --cpu 8

I managed to get to ~38W which is close to the 40W maybe I need more peripherals to be stressed.
