Codespace doesn't connect and aborts

I'm new to GitHub so I'm not sure if this is working as intended or if something is messed up. I've been trying to access codespaces for a while over the last month or two and it hasn't been opening, it usually starts normally (I used to be able to access it) and then stays in the connecting phase for twenty seconds and then aborts. Restarting doesn't help, a new codespace has the same result, and nothing else I've done has fixed it.
