Hi Guys,
I used Github-pages published / hosted a Non-profit website for about a year.
After I moved it to an appropriate hosting site, I deleted the Github-pages immediately.
The deleted Github link kept showing up on top of google search console.
I'm trying to remove the results from google console but I need to improve that I'm the owner of the website (deleted GitHub-pages) by uploading a google code to my HTML files. But I've already deleted the pages.
Please help!!

Since you've deleted the GitHub Pages site, you'll need to use Google's Remove Outdated Content tool instead of Search Console verification. Here's how,

• Go to Google's Remove Outdated Content tool: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals
• Click "New Request" and enter the deleted URL
• Select the reason
• Submit the request

The page should be removed from Google's search results within a few days. If this doesn't work, you can also,

Request removal through Google Search,

• Search for your URL on Google
• Click the three dots next to the result
• Choose "About this result" > "Remove result"
