Help needed: Frontend development

We could really use help with the website (frontend) development and integration with the backend. Existing bare-bones website is at https://decent-cloud.org/ . We needs a prettier one, and we need a good dashboard for the users and for the providers.

I'm thinking that something like serverhunter.com would be very nice to have. Would you be able to give it a shot to create something like that? Or would you recommend some other UI?
Assume that you can fetch data from the backend as JSON. We can add backend querying with dfinity/agent as soon as you have something nice for the frontend.

The current website https://decent-cloud.org/ is hosted on free Cloudflare pages. I could set up another deployment e.g. for dashboard.decent-cloud.org or we could set it up in some other way - let me know what would work best for you.

I think that for now it might be most efficient to work locally and then when you're ready we can just set up a repo for the dashboard and set up CI/CD for it, similar as already done for the website.

Regarding the frontends @Dhei-vid , we need a few different ones. We need:

1. project website (unauthenticated), this is what @Tekisha is working on improving
2. leaderboard (unauthenticated), that's up for grabs AFAIK - please correct me if I'm wrong @Tekisha
3. authentication with more providers, see Main authentication window website#12
4. logged in view, also up for grabs but more difficult since we don't have much data from the chain in the website today. This will change and help is very welcome. There is an example of how data can be fetched at https://github.com/decent-stuff/website/blob/main/lib/icp-utils.ts
5. logged in actions (see Logged in actions website#14), absolutely necessary but I do not have a clear vision yet on how this can and should be done. Suggestions are welcome.
   • Generating the public+private key pair either randomly or from seed phrase (BIP39)
   • After the user has a public+private key pair in the browser (from the issue above), it will be possible and we need to enable the user to run as many operations as possible from the browser.
   • I'm thinking that even the DC blockchain validation could be doable from the browser. That would involve pulling the blockchain into the browser and doing some computation on the blockchain, and making the payment. Cool stuff.
   • And yes... sending funds from the browser would be very cool!
   • Adding additional profile information such as the SSH public key should be possible
6. I'm thinking that a mobile app would also be cool, not sure how much work would that be once we have the website. I believe some or a large part of the work can be reused for the mobile app, but you're the experts so let me know!
7. Last but not least... DC Dashboard. I'm thinking that something similar to https://www.serverhunter.com would be very cool. @naturalmechanics mentioned earlier that he might look into it, not sure if he started working on it?

Will love to contribute but im more of a designer rather than a frontend developer. I know some ins and outs or frontend though.

Your help is absolutely needed and welcome! What IMHO we most urgently need around design:

• A UI to show results, maybe something similar to serverhunter
• A UI to enter new offerings, no idea how that should look like
• A UI for logged in users - please try to log in, look around, and please suggest improvements around anything!
