Users Verification email not sent

I have a problem with my social media website constructed using Wordpress and Beehive. Users' verification emails are not sent. Even after activating the user's email on the dashboard of WordPress the user doesn't receive a verification email - the administrator of my website instead receives a notification email. On the other hand, when a user's account is deleted a notification email is sent to that user. What can I do to solve this problem?
