Stuck at iPXE initialising devices when chainloading from GRUB2

On my SYSLINUX configuration I could use the following menuentry and it works:

label netbootxyz
 menu label NETBOOT OS list
 kernel /aims/loader/netboot/netboot.xyz.lkrn

On my GRUB2 configuration I am adding a menuentry as it follows, but it gets stuck at iPXE initialising devices. I also tried with snp and snponly versions without success:

  insmod chain
  chainloader /aims/loader/netboot/netboot.xyz.efi
 }

When using netboot.xyz-snp.efi and netboot.xyz-snponly.efi, at least I can open the iPXE shell, and with ifstat I see no network interfaces.
