Impossible to serialize invalid link

We have seen the issue Impossible to serialize invalid link a few times but never found a way to reproduce the error. This issue is mentioned in #8931 and it seems it has been resolved in [3.2.7], looking at the code I still see the chances of getting this error. Has anyone ever gotten a similar error in the version released after 3.2.7 either in Embedded or Server mode?

Steps to reproduce

We were unable to reproduce this error, We got this error in production while using the database in Embedded mode.

Hi,

You refer to the 2.2.x version that has been deprecated years ago, please use 3.2.x, that should not have this problem.
