I found it also and come to write here. It is using same themes, etc. It's great that someone made web gui but he is pretending as he is author of everything, doesn't link project license, link, etc. Bussiness on code stolen here. |

The code isn't the same. It's javascript, AI written and works a bit differently… BUT the themes are definitely stolen. Basically, he used AI to recreate this tool in javascript. |

Hello, I would also like to create a for-profit web application based on the maptoposter source code. If I add a link to this Github repository in the footer of all pages and leave the OpenStreetMap copyright notice on all generated posters (digital or printed), that's okay, right? Can I not use the same themes? I fully understand that some people may judge me for doing this, arguing that it is unethical, but that is another matter (which I am happy to discuss...). What I would really not like is to breach the licence. |

Just saw this Reddit post in which the author claims to have "built a tool that turns any city into a minimalist map poster."
I don't know, but to me the generated maps look very similar to the ones here?
Even though the MIT license allows commercial usage, attribution is still required. Furthermore, the maps generated by that site appear not to be following the OpenStreetMap attribution guidelines, which might be another red flag.
