Admin user

Is there a manual way to make one of the users (identities) of the ory system an administrator? In which only he has access to certain functions of my application. I thought I could do this via console.ory, but I couldn't.

Note: I'm using ory with 'Custom UI with Ory Elements' (https://www.ory.sh/docs/kratos/bring-your-own-ui/custom-ui-ory-elements).

If you refer to making an identity an admin to your Ory project - that's not possible, Ory (admin) accounts and project-level identities are strictly separate user pools.

Right, thanks. And the Ory (admin) accounts are set to admin at what point? Or are they the accounts that can handle the project in console.ory?

They the accounts that can handle the project in console.ory and which you add via invites.
Right now we seperate these into Admins and Developers, where Admins have full rights to e.g. change billing info.
