Forced Subtitles ignored - Standard subtitle selected.

Description:

When watching a series (anime) with forced subtitles attached. PM4K will select the standard non-forced version i.e English.ass is selected rather then Forced English.ass

Playing other media like movies etc, no subtitles are selected by default.

Playing the same file as below using the web player etc Forced is selected by default

I did mention this on Trashes Discord but thought best to add here for easier referencing.

Settings are correct for forced subtitles as per Plex documentation.

Do you have "Forced subtitle fix" enabled in PM4K?

There is no option for subtitle fix within PM4K settings or the addon settings, that I can see, I’m on the latest beta was this remove before I’m sure I’ve seen it before

Oh right, I've removed that in the beta. Can you try setting Plex's forced subtitle download setting to a different value?

I've tried this and it made no difference, all normal plex clients work fine with forced subtitles I've tried just PM4K ignores them.

I wonder if official plex clients have some extra logic for handling these?

No they don't - the PMS by default prefers forced subtitles, which doesn't make sense most of the time if full subtitles were available.

The next beta will have a fix for this, if the forced subtitles account setting is the default one (prefer non-forced).

Edit: The next beta will re-add the forced subtitles fix setting, which has been removed before, and only apply it when it's activated and in case of the account setting being "prefer non-forced"

Tried this on the latest beta and this works now for me :) I'll keep an eye out for the next few days see if anything funny happens.
