Git submodule support

What problem does this solve?

I manage my projects via git and don't want to worry about running additional shell commands to update or download a zip file manually each time.

Proposed solution

Offer a project structure or branch that can be directly included as a git submodule and further handled via git update commands.

I'm not sure I fully understand - you want to import e.g. a .claude folder as a git submodule?

I have added all providers to this repo itself, but you'd have to add the submodule to the root of your git project, so even on a new branch that only has them, I don't think this would work?

I'm not sure whether the repo structure changed, but as it stands now, I think it can be used as a submodule relatively well.

Ideally, the repo would include some kind of shellscript that symlinks the skills folders for the various to the appropriate folders in the top repo.

I have something similar for the repo with my own instructions:

git submodule add https://github.com/Adrixan/copilot-instructions.git .github/copilot-instructions
ln -s copilot-instructions/copilot-instructions.md .github/copilot-instructions.md
git add .gitmodules .github/
git commit -m "Add Copilot instructions as submodule"

You could keep it as food for thoughts.
