With grpreg, I see that you have the option to use the Poisson distribution for the family, but I am unable to find an option to include an offset with this. I was wondering if there is a way to do so using the package.

You raise an excellent point. Unfortunately, this option has not yet been implemented in grpreg. I am certainly aware that without such an option, the utility of grpreg for Poisson regression is greatly limited, so this is definitely on my to-do list.

Very interesting package and has most what I was looking for! However, I often use Poisson regression and was also missing the offset option. Are you able to give any timeline with regard to the implementation? Are we talking about weeks or months?

More like months than weeks. Not that it would necessarily take a long time, it's just that there's not much reward in it for me, as I have no projects going on that involve Poisson regression.

+1, this would be awfully handy for my work as well.
