When typing in the Message: box, backspacing looks like it's backspacing and hitting enter to send the message looks like everything is fine, when in reality, to everyone else, it's like you never hit backspace and fixed the typo. Everything you typed incorrectly still shows up.
You see here, I typed "this is a tt" then I hit backspace and then finished with "est". What we see looks fine:
