Incorrect Login Redirect in Safari on Big Sur

I noticed unexpected behavior today when using BASIRA. After login, altering the record ID in the address bar redirects me to the login page.

Using Safari v14.1.2, on MacOS 11.5.2, I did the following:

• logged into BASIRA (https://basiraproject-production.herokuapp.com)
• clicked on the edit button for the first entry
• changed the record ID from 20 to 174 in the address bar
• hit enter

This action on Safari (but not Chrome on my computer) results in a redirect to the login page.

HOWEVER, if I open up the inspector in Safari to watch the network traffic and do the same (enter a new artwork ID), Safari goes the expected page and does not redirect to the login page. Weird.
