The npm install is still failing. Is anyone looking into this issue?!

Weird, my npm said

npm WARN optional dep failed, continuing [email protected]

And seemed to get hung-up, so I killed it, removed node_modules, tried again, and it seemed to install fine.

then it stoped, I have removed node_modules three times, but still not working
my npm version is 2.8.4, is it not the right version?

I was able to solve this by manually installing:

  • npm install fsevents
  • npm install jsxc

And then running:

  • npm run build
  • npm start

adding nan to the dependencies in boilterplate's package.json fixes this, but that seems to be because jsxc was missing an explicit mention of nan in its own dependencies... could probably fix this by requiring a later jsxc than just ~0.1.6 ?

Hi @idophir I tried your approach but I got the same error running npm install jsxc, did you too?

I had a similar error as the OP. I re-installed Node via Homebrew and ensured Xcode was installed and it seemed to do the trick for me.
