It would be great if support for controlling the PS5's front led color would be added if its possible
maybe an option to make the color flashing when installing a game/update and back to static when installed?

Cool idea. The PS5's front LED is controlled by a kernel-side service (SceLedCtrl). From a userspace payload we'd need to resolve the NID for the LED control syscall and call it — it's technically feasible (other homebrew tools have done it), but it would need reverse engineering on the current firmware to find the right NID.

The "flash during install, static when done" use case is especially nice — that would tie into the install activity events we already track.

Tracking this as a future feature. No ETA yet since it needs FW-specific NID work, but it's a good suggestion.

Closing as not planned for now — this needs FW-specific NID reverse engineering for SceLedCtrl, which isn't on the current roadmap. The detailed write-up above is preserved in the thread for future reference. Thanks for the suggestion.
