I deleted and reset everything a SECOND time and it seems to be fixed....sorry. |
Ok. Switched to another toon, and it's not working on HER.....so, there's something weird happening with follow. Settings are all correct, just isn't working. |
Please enable debugging and post the full series of messages that occur on each character (both sending and receiving) when you send a follow command. |
Um, as I stated, I DID enable debugging. And nothing is sent. Therefore, UPDATE 1: I un-installed hydra on both PCs. AGAIN. Checked nothing was in saved variables. AGAIN. Double-checked that WoW's craptastic, dual-box hostile Bnet client hadn't changed the install location on me so that I was checking the wrong WoW (yes, this has happened /sigh). Rebooted both PCs. Reinstalled Hydra on both PCs via the Curse Client. Checked AGAIN that saved variables in the WTF had no instances of Hydra for both PCs. Launched WoW on both machines, logged onto one toon per PC, partied them, enabled every debugging option, double-checked the addon settings (Add Group and Remove All are both completely broken, btw), and STILL, the secondary PC, an older Alienware with Windows 7 (the one that is nearly never the leader) can make people follow. My newish custom-built Ironside Computers rig with Windows 8.1, the primary PC, can make people mount, dismount - those get triggered and I can see everything in debug mode. When I do /followme or /fme, however, NOTHING happens. Debugging generates nothing for me to show you - on either machine. All the messages in debug that I see when testing on the working PC DO NOT SHOW on the "broken" install. UPDATE 2: I rolled back to the previous version of Hydra via the WoWInterface site - only on the primary PC that isn't working correctly. Follow works now, as does Add Group/Remove Group. I did notice there is some "ValidateName Unknown Thrall Unknown-Thrall" that was generated on the recipient's end - presumably something implemented in the new version of Hydra? Debug code that shows up on the PREVIOUS version of Hydra, that was absent in the current one (again, nothing showed, so nothing to send you): Hydra: Sending follow command to party Hope this helps! Absolutely nothing at all shows up, even during loading? |
I have the same issue. If you do the Follow command from the grp member instead of the Group Leader should work as that works for me. The issue appears to be with the Grp leader as the follow function will not work if issued with that character but will with a grp member provided that each has the other as trusted. The grp leader is ranked 3 and the member is ranked 2, could that create a mismatch and nil error with the newstate you put in the 6.2 update.. Edit 1: The Request Follow key binds does work if done from a grp member but not from the Grp Leader and when done from the Grp Leader it produces no debug script in the chat box of any character in the grp but will if it is done from any grp member that is not leader. |
I dual box with two PCs. Somehow, follow is "broken" on one PC (of course the main pc, which is the one that tells the other account to follow 95% of the time) but not the other. I deleted Hydra (including wtf info) on both PCs, reinstalled, and still have the same thing - I can tell toons to follow from the secondary PC, but not the primary. I double-checked all the addon settings (re-added toons to the trust list, made sure following is enabled, toons are partied and on same realm, turned on debugging), and it seems that the message isn't being sent: no "AddonMessage PARTY [CharacterName] FOLLOW" is being sent, therefore it isn't being received. Thoughts?
