CPU Spikes to 100%

For some reason this app occassionally skyrockets in cpu usage and makes the rest of the computer crawl. I'm managing it using pm2. I can restart it and it works fine for a bit, but it will do it again eventually. I end up just disabling it completely a lot of times because it gets frustrating. Any ideas? (This is a pretty hefty machine, so I figure there's gotta be something in the code.)
