Desaturation changes depending on Tray offset setting and number of icons in the tray #116
Comments
I cannot reproduce it. Have you observed it recently? Closing for now but feel free to re-open if necessary. Thank you. |
I have exactly the same issue. All the size, brightness, desaturation, etc. settings only take effect for every second tray offset value. If it works for all even or all odd tray offset values depends on the number of other icons in the tray. |

I use nearly complete desaturation (0.1) and contrast reduction with topicons. Right Alignment.
I noticed that when new apps are launched that use appindicators tray icons and their icons get added to the tray, my desaturation setting in topicons suddenly gets ignored and the legacy icon displays in full saturation.
If I open topicons settings and change the "tray offset" by one, the issue gets fixed, until the next tray icon gets added or removed
This is a minor annoyance that also affects topicons-redux
Currently seeing this on ubuntu 18.10, also noticed it on 18.04 and fedora 28 IIRC. Xorg.
