I was having problems updating the firmware from Windows on my pinecil v2. After reviewing many websites and people with a similar problem, I found it using the Linux subsystem in Windows WSL.exe

1- You connect the pinecilv2 in flash mode

2-Follow the steps to connect the USB to the linxu subsystem -> https://learn.microsoft.com/es-es/windows/wsl/connect-usb

3- you flash normally with blisp

So it sounds like Windows driver issue...

keeping the tip inserted into the device might cause problems so try also to remove the tip from the pinecilv2 before plugging it in your computer for flashing (try flashing without the tip in the pinecil)

For me, the steps to connect USB to WSL did not work, but removing the tip did allow the iron to flash successfully. Thanks @1jgj90g2nk!
