Via this issue I am developing several UX enhancements/variants for AddLayers.js and related widgets. See also the example: http://lib.heron-mc.org/heron/latest/examples/catalog/
All enhancements are configurable. For example to view LayerRecords within AddLayers (see image), the templatedLayerGrid property can be added to the AddLayers plugin in the Viewer.
Also the ExtJS template will be made configurable.
