As I understand it, Homebridge V2.0 will break some plugins that make use of old functions.

Also hoping for HB2.0 support. In the meantime, I have begun working with the homebridge-kasa-python plugin, but it seems to be missing the dimmer functionality for my KS230. Have thoroughly enjoyed this tplink-smarthome plugin. Would hate to have to switch simply for a compatibility issue with HB2.0.
