Incorrect import of glb with vertex colors

Hi, there! I have a game launching in March, sponsored by HTC - announced yesterday, check out the trailer - and I am approaching the time for optimization. Really hoping to be able to bake lighting/color down to vertex color in the gltf pipeline. Any chance this could get a bump, @slimbuck?

Hey sorry, @slimbuck, I'm still seeing the same thing.

Grab the Khronos-provided test cube here:

This comes with no material, just vertex color - so dropping in the Template shows standard white. To attempt to show vertex color, you have to create a new entity, add a Render component, select this asset, then add to that a new material with the Vertex Color checkbox checked. But the colors are still coming in crazy:

Happens in v1 and v2 of the editor. It also happens even when there is a material on the cube that is sampling vertex color.

Am I thinking about this wrong?

No you're not wrong. I managed to reproduce, it's still broken. Really sorry about that.

My original test was fixed, but this will require more investigation on our side.

If possible, the imported material should automatically be set up to use vertex colors, to match the glb.

I get this when I drop that vertex color cube glb into the Editor:

All I had to do was:

1. Instantiate the template in the scene
2. Create a new material and assign it to the template's Render component
3. Disable 'Use Lighting'
4. Disable 'Use Skybox'
5. Check 'Vertex Color' under EMISSIVE
6. Set Color to white under EMISSIVE

So I'll close this since it seems fixed, but please follow up if you believe there is more to be done and I can re-open the issue.
