Write up paper for Journal of Open Source Software

We have all we need to write up the paper now; aiming for end of April completion. PR #81 addresses this and includes the PDF build as a github action.

High-level goals.

Need to have:

• get the four synthesis methods working with respective reproductions from the literature
• pull out dead code, refactor Synthesis and display
• revisit file / directory structure (make clear difference between models and canonical_computations, etc)
• write tutorial 1, conceptual introduction to package
• write steerable pyramid tutorial (focus on usage, high level understanding, link elsewhere for more detailed technical understanding)
• write overview of what we expect models to look like (using Lyndon's Linear, LinearNonlinear)
• standardize style (run black, add linter to CI)
• Add type-hinting to everything
• double-check docs to make sure they look correctly
• update README, make sure it's a nice landing page
• write actual JOSS submission

Nice to have:

• get GPU tests working
• finalize Kate's presentation, make it html, and upload / link

Afterwards:

• put on pip
• put on conda (talk to Flatiron SCC)
