Are there instructions on where to install the files in scripts/* on UNIX ? The immediate reaction is to place them in /usr/bin. The downside is that "flatten_json" is not really specific. I mean, everyone wants to flatten json all the time whenever one encounters it. So, I wished you'd call it "pizzly_flatten_json". Or maybe add an option to the /usr/bin/pizzly executable to execute these scripts that are installed in /usr/share/pizzly/.. ?
