One of the original goals of #2107 was to support the usage of the camera API in the inline preview; unfortunately, simply switching to frame loaded from a real origin was not sufficient for that purpose, and a fair amount of poking around didn’t yield a ready solution. #2107 is a good change for several reasons, so we merged it as-is and will treat the camera API separately.
